I help patients obtain oral medications that they otherwise could not afford.

This is my 9th year with CWF.

I enjoy making a difference in my patients’ care. I know most of my patients would find the cost of their medications insurmountable and many would walk away from lifesaving care without our help. By greatly reducing the monetary pressure, they can focus on their care rather than their ability to pay. Each patient’s needs are different and I enjoy finding the right fit for each particular need.

The CWF is a donation based entity and I think many people see us solely as a fundraising organization. However, our daily work is very hands-on facilitating a patient’s ability to obtain their medications. We help to securing financing, but also coordinate with the Apothecary, pharmaceutical companies, and the clinical staff to fill a patient’s prescriptions. Further, we work with financial coordinators and local insurance advocates to connect patients with more permanent solutions, not just immediate fixes.

I attended the Oscars in 2022, but was in the lobby at the time of the infamous slap. Timing is everything.
